This seam is used on the side seam of a shirt, the inside leg of a pair of jeans and all seams of a denim jacket. A very neat finish, the raw edges are enclosed & no overlocking is required.
If you are using heavy weight or looser weave fabrics prone to fraying, use a 2cm seam allowance, I have used 1.5cm for this sample.

With WRONG sides of fabric together sew 1.5cm seam, trim away 1cm from one of the seam allowances.

Working on the RIGHT side of the fabric press over the 1.5cm allowance , tuck in 0.5cm & press again.

Edge stitch to form a closed seam.
